Join us at The Peninsula Challenge 2026 – Your Pro-Am under the Pines ®
Pack for Portugal’s Silver Coast! From 10-15 October 2026, you will have the chance to take part in the most exclusive golf experience and play a Pro-Am tournament on some of Portugal’s best golf courses – Where the greens meet the sea! A 4 rounds’ PRO-AM TOURNAMENT, 4BBB for the team and individual stroke play for the Pros, upfront endowment and prize money for the Pros and prizes for Amateurs, accommodation in a luxury resort, enjoy the mildly cool weather with a gentle breeze from the sea coast as you discover a Ballesteros Masterpiece and much more.
Program
Day 1 – Saturday October 10, 2026
Travel to venue, pick-up at Lisbon International Airport, shuttle to the Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort & registration.
Welcome Dinner Cocktail and Team Presentations!
Day 2 – Sunday October 11, 2026
Full breakfast in Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort’s Cobalt restaurant, Warm-up Round on the Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort golf course, full lunch in Resort’s clubhouse restaurant.
Day 3 – Monday October 12, 2026
Full breakfast in Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort’s Cobalt restaurant, Round 1 on the West Cliffs golf course, with lunch pack.
Day 4 – Tuesday October 13, 2026
Full breakfast in Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort’s Cobalt restaurant, Round 2 on the on the Praia D’El Rey golf course, with lunch pack.
Day 5 – Wednesday October 14, 2026
Full breakfast in Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort’s Cobalt restaurant, Tournament Final Round on the Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort golf course, full lunch in Resort’s clubhouse restaurant, Prize Ceremony & Farewell Dinner.
Day 6 – Thursday October 15, 2026
Full breakfast in Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort’s Cobalt restaurant, shuttle to Lisbon International Airport, travel back home.
Pro-Am Format
The Peninsula Challenge – Your Pro-Am Under the Pines 2026 will be competed over 4 rounds (1 warm-up round and 3 counting rounds). Teams must consist of 1 professional and 3 amateurs.
- Team component: Four player best ball / 4BBB (with handicap index) – the 2 best scores in every group are kept in every hole.
- Pro-component: Individual stroke-play
All players must have a valid Hcp of 36 or better following the World Handicap System. Players hcps will be adjusted at 85% for Two Best Ball of Three Rounds. All professionals will compete as scratch.
Prize Money
Each professional will receive a starting bonus of EUR 1,000. Professionals will also earn prize money, depending on their finish position.
Accommodation & Resort
The whole group will stay in the outstanding facilities of the Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort where we have arranged for your accommodation on site.
